Water heater kindles 30% energy savings

Jan 1, 2004 12:00 PM

Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash, based in Lancaster PA, has been in business for 16 years. The company had been using a boiler to heat its water, but with the rise in natural gas prices, this system was not energy-efficient.

Eric Anderson, part owner of the firm, decided to switch to Kemco's 99.7%-guaranteed, two-million-Btu Thermefficient TE100 direct-contact water heater. He says Lancaster Tank & Truck Wash now sees a 30% savings on natural gas by using the user-friendly Kemco heater. With it, water temperature remains a consistent 185° F, according to Anderson.
