The National Tank Truck Carriers tank cleaning seminar April 6-7 in Nashville, Tennessee, covered many subjects related to the industry. Included were handling and emergency actions involving hazardous materials, previews of new equipment, equipment maintenance, recruiting and retaining employees, and updates on federal regulations. John Torbitt, NTTC council chairman and area manager for Philip Services Corp, conducted the seminar that included speakers from many segments of the tank cleaning industry.

He received a plaque for his service as chairman from Ed Matlage of Miller Transporters Inc, incoming chairman for 1998-99. Ron Parrott of Boncosky Transportation Inc will be vice-chairman.
