Oct. 21, 2014

Quala, North America's leader in intermediate bulk container [IBC] cleaning and bulk transportation services as well as comprehensive sustainable container solutions, announced it broke ground for a new state-of-the-art facility in Savannah GA on October 15. The facility is scheduled to open in March 2015.

“We are excited to enter the Savannah market and service the growing needs of our transportation customers across Savannah with broad array of necessary and safe transportation and container support services,” said Terry O’Brien, president of Quala.

“The design of the new facility will enable Quala to offer multiple tank trailer and ISO container services, including chemical and food grade cleaning capabilities, maintenance, repairs and inspections to name a few. Along with our many capabilities, we will also be offering first class office space and driver amenities.”

Quala is a privately owned company, providing sustainable container solutions, including industrial cleaning, maintenance and repair services to the chemical, oil & gas, transportation, food & beverage, automotive and environmental services industries.

This groundbreaking represents a bold new direction for the Company, and allows Quala to exhibit its strengths as North America’s industry leader with continued expansion beyond tank wash capabilities, while expanding into new offerings for the bulk transportation industry, according to O’Brien.

Quala’s new facility will cover over 9.5 acres and have a modern 36,290-sq-ft building housing the following:

  • 4 modern maintenance bays
  • 2 sophisticated foodgrade bays
  • 4 technologically advanced, environmentally sound, chemical cleaning bays
  • 6,950 square feet of offices (excluding Quala offices or trucker’s area)
  • 2,152 square feet for contemporary trucker’s lounge, break room and rest rooms

O’Brien concluded: “At Quala, we pride ourselves on a relentless commitment to quality, safety and environmental sustainability. Consistent with that commitment is this new facility in Savannah, which will strive to set new standards and best practices for the industry.”
