EPA wants comments on effluent program guidelines

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a notice that its 2008 preliminary effluent guidelines program plan is available for comments, as well as its review of the 2007 existing guidelines, according to information published in the Federal Register October 30.

The 2007 review addresses guidelines and pretreatment standards and also presents EPA's evaluation of indirect dischargers without categorical pretreatment standards to identify potential new categories for pretreatment standards.

The deadline for comments is December 31, 2007. The notice can be seen online in the Federal Register.
