May 1, 2011 12:00 PM

To help companies stay compliant with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and protect workers from fall-related accidents, MANCOMM is releasing Fall Protection: Complete OSHA Regulations, an updated version of a book it first published in 2006.

The new book provides multi-industry fall-protection information from these parts of the OSHA regulations:

  • Part 1910: General Industry
  • Part 1915: Shipyard Employment
  • Part 1917: Marine Terminals
  • Part 1918: Longshoring
  • Part 1926: Construction
  • OSHA Letters of Interpretation

The US Department of Labor lists falls as one of the leading causes of traumatic occupational death, accounting for 8% of all workplace trauma fatalities. Figures from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reveal that 617 workers died of fatal occupational falls in 2009, and 277 of those deaths were in the construction industry.

This 8.5" × 11" 140-plus page softcover book is enhanced with RegLogic, a graphical approach that takes the difficulty out of reading and understanding regulations.
