Emergencies spawn HOS breaks in MN/SD/KS

Jul 12, 2007 11:17 AM

Minnesota and South Dakota have waived hours-of-service (HOS) restrictions for fuel haulers until July 19 due to spot shortages of gasoline, according to the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA).

The association also reported that Kansas waived HOS restrictions for 30 days, beginning July 10, for truckers delivering emergency supplies after the state was hit with widespread flooding.
