Superior Propane has been an active participant in the North American propane industry’s breast cancer awareness program for a number of years. Refurbished by DyTerra in Ayr ON, this four-axle propane trailer has a 25-year-old pressure vessel. The 16,500-gallon trailer was updated with roll stability.Used for propane delivery in Whitby ON, this Kenworth T470 bobtail offers great maneuverability in serving residential customers. The bobtail has a 4,300-gallon propane delivery tank. The powertrain includes a 345-hp Cummins ISL engine and six-speed AllisThis bright pink and white tandem axle T800 has a 6,500 gallon barrel. Tandem-axle bobtails in the Superior Propane fleet typically are specified with 385 horsepower engines, and some are being ordered with Eaton UltraShift transmissions.
As part of its effort to achieve maximum performance and flexibility from its propane delivery fleet, Superior Propane has added bobtails with propane tanks on a swap-body system from FRF Hydraulics in Brantford ON.During the off season, propane tanks on the swap-body trucks are replaced with a crane/flatbed body that is used for customer tank relations and service. The mounting and demounting process takes about an hour.Propane delivery hardware includes Liquid Controls LCR-II meters, Blackmer pumps, and arctic-grade delivery hoses with RegO nozzles.
