Two vacuum transports in Steve Kent Trucking’s fleet load drilling mud at the new SKT Drilling Fluids mud plant in Logansport LA. Kenworth is the preferred tractor brand for the fleet, and W900s are a driver favorite. The oilfield hauler runs 270 tractors and 350 trailers and operates in some of the busiest shale oil plays in the United States.

The oilfield hauler runs 270 tractorsIn its South Texas oilfield service operations, Steve Kent Trucking has added 24 Kenworth T800 tractors with the Paccar MX engine rated at 485 horsepower.SKT Drilling Fluids makes water- and oil-based drilling mud at its new plant in Logansport LA. The plant can produce up to 3,000 barrels a day and ships mud 24/7.Drilling mud is heavy cargo, and the typical vacuum trailer in the Steve Kent Trucking fleet has a 130-barrel (5,460-gallon) capacity. Dragon Products Ltd is another primary supplier of vacuum trailers to the Steve Kent Trucking fleet. The carbon steel tank has a 130-barrel capacity.Built by Fruehauf, these 1,000-cu-ft dry bulkers are used to transport barite clay used in drilling mud. Steve Kent Trucking runs eight dry bulk trailers in all with capacities up to 1,250 cu ft.Oilfield services offered by Kent Services & Trucking include rentals of frac tanks and skid-mounted pumping systems.Steve Kent Trucking runs Fruitland, National Vacuum Equipment, and Challenger vacuum pumps.
Aluminum wheels are specified on tractors and trailers for appearance and lighter weight.Vacuum trailers are specified with six- and four-inch rear outlets. Ten vacuum trailers have full-opening rear heads and are used for rig cleanings.
