Strong demand for frac sand in the oilfield is bringing steady growth for the diverse operations at Southern Illinois Motor Xpress, Cutler IL. The company couldn’t be busier as it celebrates its 50th anniversary during 2012. The dry bulk hauler runs a fleet that includes 165 tractors and 350 trailers, including 60 dry bulkers dedicated to frac sand. SIMX serves its oilfield customers with a combination of transload and over-the-road shipments.
