Track Mobile shuttle units from Stewart & Stevenson are used to reposition tankcars at the wash rack. The two doors on the right are for the wash rack, and the door on the left accesses the bay where tankcar interiors are blasted to remove hardened material and rust through a closed-loop crushed-coal blasting system.

Rescar companies’ new facility in Channelview TX includes closed-loop tankcar cleaning, blasting to remove hardened product and rust, product residue storage, and vapor abatement that includes a tornado flare, caustic scrubber, and carbon absorption. AllKevin Wilck is in charge of tankcar cleaning operations and environmental compliance for all of Rescar Companies.
