Ruan’s Dairy and Bulk Food Transport Division has become a leading milk hauler, but the carrier also transports other liquid food products, including liquid eggs, wine, edible oils, sweeteners, and juices. Based in Tulare CA, the division runs 460 tractorRuan’s dispatch office in Tulare CA stays busy virtually around the clock. The carrier also runs trailers from Walker Stainless Equipment Co. All of the tank trailers have a 6,700-gallon capacity
Uninsulated tank trailers are used to transport liquid cargoes, including fertilizer and wastewater.Three-inch Thomsen outlets are standard equipment on most of the milk tankers in the Ruan fleet.Pumps from Tri-Clover are among those used on Ruan dairy tank trailers.Tank trailers are specified with safety ladders that have handholds <br />designed to help prevent falls.Every 90 days, tractors receive a preventive service that includes a change of engine oil and filter. The 90-day interval equates to about 24,000 miles.
Ruan’s Tulare CA maintenance shop serves as the West Coast<br /> rebuild center for transmissions.Ruan prefers aluminum jackets on its insulated milk tankers. Mechanics replace the jacketing around the domelid about every 10 years.
