A Kenworth T660 shows it has plenty of power with the new Cummins Westport ISX12 G engine rated at 400 horsepower. The drivetrain included an Eaton Fuller 13-speed manual transmission, and the tractor was fueled with compressed natural gas.This Kenworth T800 was specified with the Westport GX 15-liter engine rated for 450-hp and fueled with LNG, a combination that appeals to linehaul operations, including tank truck fleets. Several oilfield operators also are running the Westport GX.Some tank fleets have found success running the Cummins Westport ISL G 320-hp engine with Allison six-speed automatic transmission specified in this Kenworth T440. This tractor is fueled with LNG.
Available in early 2013, the new Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine comes with a range of ratings to 400-hp and 1,450 lb-ft torque.Emissions are controlled with a maintenance-free, three-way catalyst system that cuts weight and eliminates the need for the selective catalytic reduction technology, diesel exhaust fluid, and the diesel particulate filter.CNG and LNG fuel tanks can be mounted to the frame just like diesel fuel tanks.
