Mack displayed this Pinnacle at MATS with a 505-hp MP8 engine and mDrive automated transmission. Mack officials say the mDrive could account for 40% of the company’s transmission sales within the next 10 years. The mDrive is credited with increasing fuel economy by about 1.5%.

Blue stage lighting gave this Volvo VN a striking appearance during the truck builder’s press conference at MATS. Powertrain enhancements and advanced aerodynamics (such as the sun visor redesign) are boosting VN fuel efficiency by 8%.Mack’s Granite is gaining marketshare in a variety of vocations, including oilfield operations where it is used in straight truck and tractor versions. The latest Granite developments include a 36-inch sleeper.
