Heckmann Water Resources vacuum transports offload production water at one of 23 disposal facilities operated by the company in areas of Texas and Louisiana that are part of the Haynesville oil shale region. Unloading takes about 20 minutes for a 130-barrel vacuum trailer.

Heckmann Water Resources Inc, Carthage TX, drew industry-wide attention earlier this year when it placed the single largest order for LNG-fueled trucks in the United States. Heckmann Water Resources spec’d the LNG-fueled Westport GX engine in its new Peterbilt tractors. The engine combines Westport’s proprietary LNG technology with the 475-hp 15-liter Cummins ISX engine.Pictured is one of two LNG saddle tanks that carry the equivalent of 190 gallons of diesel fuel.A small amount of diesel (5%) is combined with LNG in the Westport GX engine’s combustion process and is carried in this 90-gallon tank.
