Two vacuum transports in the Green Energy Oilfield Services LLC fleet offload process water at an injection well in central northeast Texas. A new oilfield operator, Green Energy grabbed headlines earlier this year by putting one of the largest LNG-fueledGreen Energy’s management team represents over a century of experience in oilfield services ranging from fluid management, trucking, well fracturing, safety, and general services provided to the oil and gas industry.Winch trucks—used to handle frac tanks and other rental equipment—account for 10 of the LNG-fueled power units in the Green Energy fleet. Until permanent LNG fueling stations built in 2013, Clean Energy has supplied portable fueling systems at Green Energy’s facilities in Fairfield and Gonzalez TX.Green Energy drivers quickly learn the procedures for<br />safely refueling the LNG-fueled tractors.A dispatcher at the Fairfield office uses the GeoForce GPS system to monitor and dispatch the Green Energy fleet.In addition to the LNG-fueled Westport HD GX15 engine, Peterbilt Model 388 daycabs were spec’d with Eaton 13-speed transmissions, 40,000-lb-capacity Dana Spicer drive axles, Bendix air-disc brakes and roll stability, and Peterbilt Airtrac air suspension.
Dragon Products supplied the 54 130-barrel vacuum trailers in the Green Energy fleet. The non-code carbon steel tanks are lined with an epoxy coating.Tubing, valves, and other hardware on the LNG fuel tank is handling the dusty, grimy oilfield conditions very well.Green Energy specified the 15-liter Westport HD GX15 engine that uses LNG blended with 5% diesel.Dash-mounted displays for the natural gas fuel system include a digital fuel supply indicator and a methane vapor warning system.
Fruitland vacuum pumps are mounted on a platform behind the tractor cab.
