Ready for service, this Western Star tractor was one of three glider kits assembled by mechanics at the Newcastle shop last year.

For almost 50 years, Dixon Bros has been hauling refined petroleum, propane, crude oil, and ammonium nitrate for customers on the eastern side of the northern Rocky Mountains. The Newcastle WY-based tank truck carrier runs 90 tractors and 260 tank and dryDixon Bros was instrumental in donating a Cummins ISX engine to Casper College’s Diesel Power Technology program. Mechanics at the Newcastle shop had begun the process of assembling a glider kit to replace a tractor that was damaged in an accident.Ready for service, this Western Star tractor was one of three glider kits assembled by mechanics at the Newcastle shop last year.Tractor-mounted hydraulic power units from Stac Mfg are used to run producthandling equipment on the fleet’s tractors and trailers.
Dixon Bros specifies the SuperTanker componentry package on its new petroleum trailers. The system includes hardware from DixonBayco, FloTech, and Betts.
