Built by E D Etnyre & Co, the typical asphalt tanker in the fleet has a 7,200-gallon capacity.
Polar jet fuel trailers in the fleet carry 9,000 gallons of product. The uninsulated trailers have a single compartment.Dry bulk trailers are used to transport an increasingly diverse variety of construction materials and industrial minerals. Most of the 1,040-cu-ft and 1,660-cu-ft trailers in the fleet were supplied by Polar Tank Trailer LLC.Six of Dillon Transport’s 15 terminals have maintenance shops, and those facilities handle a large percentage of the fleet’s routine service.Twenty-eight tractors in the Dillon Transport fleet were outfitted with Cummins’ Comfort Guard auxiliary power unit.
Eco Flap is a SmartWay-approved mudflap that lets air pass through for reduced drag.Air-Weigh digital scales give drivers more control over loading operations for asphalt and dry bulker rigs.Jet fuel trailers in the Dillon Transport fleet are specified with Civacon overfill protection.Tank hardware on the Polar jet fuel trailers includes EBW bottom-loading fittings and Civacon internal valves.
