About 450 tank trailers a month are washed at DFW Tank Cleaning, the wash rack built by Coal City Cob Company at its terminal in Waxahachie TX. This is one of two Peacock single-pass units at the wash rack. This unit serves two bays—one that is dedicated to foodgrade cleaning and the other for specialized chemicals. The second Peacock unit handles IBC cleaning.Steam for the wash operation comes from a 60-hp Superior boiler.Vapors collected during tank cleaning are burned in a 40-ft flare from Flare Industries.
Sellers 360 spinners are used in the chemical cleaning operation.Water for foodgrade cleaning is treated by a Diamond reverse osmosis system.
