The largest petroleum marketer on Vancouver Island, Columbia Fuels sSingle-axle DuraStar tankwagons predominate in the Columbia Fuels residential delivery operation. Typical cargo tank capacity is 10,000 liters (2,600 gallons).Columbia Fuels’ 1.25-million-liter (330,200-gallon) bulkplant near Victoria handles the full range of fuels marketed by the company. Smaller storage tanks are strategically positioned across the island.
A two-lane loading rack is part of the bulkplant and can transfer fuel at a rate of 1,000 liters (264 gallons) per minute. The recently upgraded loading rack has injection blending capabilities.Mounted on tankwagon open decks are Liquid Controls meters and single reels for delivery hose with EBW nozzles.All of the trucks and tractors in the Columbia Fuels fleet are specified with Blackmer product pumps.
