Dan Athmer [left], Commercial Transport Inc, presents a plaque to David R Purvis, Ergon Trucking Inc, in appreciation of Purvis’ service as the National Tank Truck Carriers Safety & Security Council chairman for the past year. Athmer assumed the chairmanship at the council’s annual meeting April 5-7 in Austin TX. Other Safety & Security Council officers elected during the meeting include Andrew Wood, Bulk Transportation, vice-chairman and Region IV; Becky Perlaky, The Kenan Advantage Group, Region I; Ray Riley, Miller Transporters, Region II; and Randy Vaughn, Superior Bulk Logistics, Region III.
