Vopak will spin off European chemical distribution activities

Royal Vopak will spin off its European chemical distribution operation in a process that should be completed by the end of June 2002. The location and new name for the chemical distribution operation will be announced at a later date. Vopak will continue to operate as a storage terminal and logistics company with global storage capacity of close to 24 million cubic liters.
