TSA offers driver background check info on Web site

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has a Web site link that provides information about the new rule on background checks for truck drivers. The link has information about disqualifying crimes, driver guidance, frequently asked questions and answers, and the waiver process.

The TSA rule is expected to affect approximately 3.5 million commercial drivers with hazardous material endorsements, as well as new applicants, who now will be required to undergo a routine background records check.
