Schneider wins Shell preferred carrier award

Schneider National Bulk Carriers, Green Bay WI, has been named the Preferred Lubricants Tank Truck Carrier for the Gulf Coast region by Shell Oil Products US. The award was given to Schneider in recognition of the company's quality start-up procedures and dedication to customer service, according to Schneider information information.

In October 2000, Shell reduced its transportation base to one carrier in the Gulf Coast region. Schneider was selected to service Shell shipping locations in Texas and Louisiana, and delivery locations from California to Michigan to Florida. In two years, Schneider National Bulk Carriers increased Shell's shipments from 10 to more than 400 loads a month and also provided sole-source service to more than 15 different distribution centers in the Gulf Coast region. Schneider National Bulk Carriers' drivers, operations and customer service associates also achieved 99 percent on-time pick-up and 98 percent delivery rates.
