New HOS rules to be announced Thursday

New hours-of-service rules are scheduled to be announced Thursday, April 24, by Annette Sandberg, acting administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). According to FMCSA information, she will make the announcement at a news conference at the Department of Transportation, 400 Seventh St SW, Marx Media Center #2201, Washington DC.
The trucking industry has been expecting the new rules to go into effect by May 31, but has been unable to obtain details of the regulation.
