DAC merges with STAUnited

Jan 22, 2002 12:00 PM

DAC Services, Tulsa OK, a provider of screening services for the trucking industry, recently acquired and merged with STAUnited, a provider of drug and alcohol testing services. To reflect the union, the company has changed its name to DAC/STA.

The cornerstones of the DAC/STA program are proprietary databases and a Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant testing program, all designed specifically for the transportation industry.

The Employment History File, a database of more than 4 million records on terminated drivers, offers immediate access to millions of detailed work histories, according to the company. DAC/STA also provides direct access to the Commercial Drivers License Information System (CDLIS), allowing employers to verify commercial drivers license information.

A criminal database built from searches previously ordered by trucking companies, the proprietary 20/20 file, offers instant access to known criminal histories. The DAC/STA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program was developed to meet drug testing mandates and has evolved as regulations have grown and changed. The program meets all DOT requirements and emphasizes service, education, and communication with clients.

In addition to the name change, DAC/STA also has a new logo and an updated web site, www.dacsta.com.
