Cirillo announces retirement

Julia Anna Cirillo, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) assistant administrator, has announced plans to retire January 3, 2003, according to FMCSA information. She was the first leader of FMCSA, established by the Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act of 1999 to improve truck and bus safety, and also serves as its chief safety officer.
