Penford begins ethanol plant project

Penford Corp, Centennial CO, recently conducted a groundbreaking for its new ethanol production facility. Penford previously announced an investment of $42 million for approximately 40 million gallons of ethanol production capacity at the Cedar Rapids IA facility.
The plant is being designed to produce between 25- and 45-million gallons of ethanol per year.
