NTTC issues reminder to register for Tank Truck Week

Sept. 9, 2015

The National Tank Truck Carriers Inc (NTTC) will host its Annual Tank Truck Week event on November 11-13 at the George R Brown Convention Center in Houston TX. This program is a packed three days anchored by North America's largest bulk trucking-specific tradeshow--The Tank Truck Show.

At the same time, our 32nd Annual Maintenance Seminar will be held in conjunction with meetings of our Tank Truck Safety & Security and Tank Cleaning & Environmental Councils. The year's final Cargo Tank Test & Inspection Workshop of 2015 also will take place during the event in partnership with the US Department of Transportation.

Highlights of this year's seminar programming include:

• Keynote Presentation: Jim "The Rookie" Morris: His story serves as a powerful motivational account of pursuing ones dreams and aspirations. Morris went from a 35 year-old high school teacher to pitching in the major leagues within three months, making history with the movie release of The Rookie starring Dennis Quaid. The Rookie was nominated for a Critics Choice Award, won an ESPY for “Sports Film of the Year," and Sports Illustrated magazine voted it as one of the “five greatest baseball films ever made.”

• Tank Wash-specific Environmental Regulatory Update

• Safety Panel with Professional Tank Truck Driver of the Year Robert Weller

• EPA/NHTSA Phase II Truck Greenhouse Gas and Fuel Efficiency Discussion

• Liquid Products Database Report

• gasket and bolting specifications and standards presentation

The Annual Tank Truck Show & Maintenance Seminar draws key personnel from common and private carriers, cargo tank manufacturers, repair facilities and government agencies. The Maintenance Seminar is the only industry-wide event dedicated to the unique maintenance and operational interests of tank truck fleets. The centerpiece of this event is the Tank Truck Show – more than 250,000 square feet of exhibit space, showcasing the latest equipment and technology that affects the tank truck industry.
