Mauser expanding IBC capacity in the United States

Jan 23, 2012 4:44 PM

Mauser Group, a worldwide manufacturer of industrial packaging, is expanding its intermediate bulk container (IBC) bottle capability in Houston TX.

By installing a second blow moulding machine to the Houston facility, the company can increase output of 275-gallon IBC units and bottles. In addition, Mauser now will be able to supply 330-gallon IBCs to the southwestern US region.

“Our aim is to be closer to our customers,” says Jeff Simmonds, SBU manager North America, Mauser Group. “The enhancement of our IBC production in Houston ensures a faster response to our customer’s inquiries in the region.”

In the first step, the investment enables Mauser to increase plant capacity by over 70%. Moreover, in the first quarter of 2012, the company plans to add additional cage manufacturing resources in Houston.
