Oct 12, 2006 3:21 PM

The House of Representatives has approved a bill (HR6203) that would consider additives to bio-based fuels and ultra low sulfur diesel to make them more compatible with existing infrastructures used to store and deliver them.

The legislation also calls for portable, low-cost, and accurate methods and technologies for ULSD and low sulfur diesel testing, a look at problems associated with electrical conductivity, and alternatives to conventional methods for refurbishment and cleaning of gasoline and diesel tanks, including tank lining applications. The House unanimously approved and forwarded the bill to the Senate September 29.
