Ventura to handle ethanol in Dallas/Fort Worth region

May 8, 2006 4:29 PM

Ventura Transfer Co, Long Beach CA, has been selected by US Development to manage and facilitate the transfer of ethanol for fuel-blending in the Dallas/Fort Worth region, according to Ventura information.

Dallas and Fort Worth, as well as other urban areas across the United States, are having to switch from MTBE to ethanol due to ground water contamination concerns.

The ethanol is transferred from Union Pacific Railroad railcars to trucks by Ventura personnel using metered pumps built for the job.
