Diesel price
continues plunge

The average price of diesel last week plunged 21.6 cents per gallon, continuing a downward trend that began in mid-September when the price of crude oil began falling.

According to Department of Energy statistics, last week's diesel price was the lowest it has been since March 2008.

The prices of low sulfur diesel and ultra low sulfur diesel last week rang up at the pump at $3.558 and $3.672 per gallon, respectively. The two fuels also were down over 20 cents from the previous week.
