Diesel price persists
in downward trend

The price of diesel last week rang up at the pump at $2.045 per gallon, $1.77 less than this time last year when it was $3.819 per gallon.

The Department of Energy data in the weekly report indicated last week's price was 4.2 cents lower than the week before. Ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) was 4.4 cents lower than the week before at $2.051 per gallon. Last year at this time, the ULSD price was $3.825 per gallon or $1.774 higher than the current price.
