Congressman seeks delay in sleeper berth rule

Sep 28, 2005 1:36 PM

Congressman Pete Sessions of Texas is circulating a letter urging the leadership in the House of Representatives to delay for three months the hours-of-service rule effective date for the new sleeper berth rule, according to information from the Maryland Motor Truck Association.

The provision to delay this portion of the hours of service rules needs to be included in a continuing resolution that will be passed by Congress by September 30, the association said.
