SoyMor's plant gets biodiesel accreditation

Jun 1, 2006 10:46 AM

SoyMor's processing plant in Glenville MN has earned BQ-9000 accreditation by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Commission for biodiesel production, according to information from Renewable Energy Group and West Central, Iowa companies involved in the plant construction and product marketing.

BQ-9000 is a voluntary quality assurance program that accredits systems in place that will consistently meet the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6751 specification for biodiesel. The specifications are designed for biodiesel (B100) for use as a blend component with distillate fuels.

Soymor is a cooperative of soybean farmers from southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.
