PMAA, API ask for SPCC rule delay

Oct 4, 2005 11:56 AM

The Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA) and the American Petroleum Institute are asking the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to delay deadline compliance for the new Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) rule, according to information posted on the PMAA Web site.

The group is asking for a six-month deadline delay due to a two-month delay by EPA to provide guidance documents, as well as a proposed rule for small facility requirements.
