ATA supports raising SBA size standard

Dec 22, 2005 7:47 AM

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has filed supportive comments to the Small Business Administration regarding raising the size standard for a small business in the trucking industry from $21.5 million in annual revenue to $23.5 million.

The SBA change is effective immediately. However, for purposes of Federal procurement this change applies to solicitations, except for noncompetitive section 8(a) contracts issued on or after January 5, 2006, ATA said.

For purposes of noncompetitive section 8(a) contracting actions, the new size standards apply to offers of requirements that are accepted by SBA on or after January 5, 2006.
