Two Carry Transit Trailers Stolen

Sep 8, 2010 11:14 AM

Food grade company Carry Transit had two trailers stolen over the Labor Day weekend at a customer site in Chicago, according to Randy Vaughn, director of EHSS for Superior Bulk Logistics, Carry Transit’s parent company.

Trailers 5424 and 50141 were spotted loaded at consignee "Tootsie Roll," but when the driver  went back Tuesday to retrieve the empty trailers, they were not on the customer’s property. The customer’s security cameras have film showing that on Saturday, a green sleeper tractor departed the customer’s lot two different times, removing trailer 5424 and trailer 50141.

The trailers are stainless steel food grade trailers with the Carry Transit name and logo displayed on the trailers—which may be removed by now. Anyone seeing these units should contact Vaughn at 800-654-7707 or 630-918-9085.
