The average price of on-road diesel rose 1.45 cent from the week before, reaching $3.303 per gallon, according to the Department of Energy.

Low sulfur diesel and ultra low sulfur diesel followed a similar trend. Low sulfur was up 1.62 cent per gallon at $3.257 per gallon. Ultra low sulfur diesel rose 1.43 cent, ringing up at the pump at $3.314 per gallon.

The prices last week represent a steady increase since summer as the price of crude oil demonstrates record highs. By Tuesday of this week, the price was threatening to reach $95 per barrel as those watching the market predicted $100 per barrel before the week is out.
