Weekly on-road diesel price eases

After a steady climb for the past few weeks, the average price of on-road diesel eased down just over three cents last week.
According to information from the Energy Information Association August 21, the average price of diesel across the United States for the week of August 14 was $3.033, down from $3.065 the week before. While any drop is good news for tank truck carriers, they are still having to operate with a price that is almost 45 cents higher than it was a year ago.
