Forbes ranks Airgas for management

Airgas Inc, Radnor PA, has been ranked by Forbes Magazine as the chemical industry’s Best Managed Company in America in the January 9, 2006, magazine edition.
Airgas also said it placed 72 on the annual Forbes Platinum 400 listing, based on a five-year total annualized return to shareholders of 33.1 percent.
The list of Best Managed Companies in 26 industries was culled from the Platinum 400 listing, which Airgas has made in seven of the last eight years.
The magazine editors and writers evaluated the leading companies in each industry on factors such as innovation, efficiency, and market leadership to select the best-managed company in each industry.
