Distribution is about to begin for a new tank truck rollover training video that was developed through a joint effort by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC).

The video garnered rave reviews during its premier screening at April 8 during the NTTC Tank Truck Safety & Security Council Seminar in Nashville TN. William Quade, FMCSA associate administrator for program delivery and enforcement, thanked members of the tank truck industry for participating and supporting the project.

“We’ve been working on this video for the past couple of years, and we are excited that the project is nearly finished,” Quade said. “This was a great joint government/industry effort.”

The training video is free and will be available for download over the Internet from the FMCSA and PHMSA web sites. The rollover video is going into production on April 15 and will be mailed to 21,000 carriers in the initial distribution, according to Quade. Distribution will take three to four weeks.
