ATRI seeks security technology vendors for study

Jun 10, 2005 11:24 AM

The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is looking for technology vendors involved in hazardous materials security to become a part of an ongoing effort to compile a list of off-the-shelf products and vendors, as well as to identify new or evolving security technologies that are likely to enter the marketplace in the next 14 months.

The purpose of the project sponsored by the Department of Transportation is to test the safety and security of different technologies and procedures, and identify the most cost-effective means for protecting different types of hazardous cargo from attack by terrorists.

More information is available on the ATRI Web site.
