Vopak opens South SC wastewater plant

Houston TX-based Vopak Industrial Services has opened an industrial waste service facility in Mauldin SC, says Michael Dilick, vice-president and general manager. The facility is a joint venture with Fletcher Engineering of Greenville SC.

Vopak invested $1.5 million in improvements to the facility formerly owned by Dow Chemical Co. It has the capacity to handle two million gallons of waste per month. Treatment processes include biological, physical/chemical, and solidification, Other services include sludge solidification, consumer products, and drum and tote disposal.
