US Liquids Inc, a Houston TX-based provider of liquid waste management services, has completed the previously announced acquisition of oilfield waste transfer stations along the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Texas from Trinity Storage Services LP.

The Louisiana transfer stations are in Cameron, Fourchon, Berwick/Morgan City, and Intracoastal City; the Texas facilities are in Galveston and Corpus Christi. Two of these facilities are on the Intracoastal Waterway, with easy access to the company's oilfield waste processing and disposal facilities. Total consideration for the transfer stations was $3 million.

“These transfer stations are ideally situated to provide collection points for the receipt of offshore oilfield waste from all of the major Gulf Coast markets,” said William DeArman, chairman and chief executive officer of US Liquids. “These transfer stations complement our six oilfield waste processing and disposal facilities in Louisiana and Texas, allowing us to re-enter the growing Gulf of Mexico oil and gas market which we have been unable to participate in since the non-renewal of our contract with Newpark Resources. We can now compete with Newpark in a market that exceeds $40 million per year.”
