UPT honors Thederahn as Driver of Year

United Petroleum Transports, based in Oklahoma City OK, has presented its 2002 Professional Driver of the Year Award to Carl Thederahn of Oklahoma City. A UPT driver for eight years, Thederahn has accumulated more than 1.8 million accident-free miles during his career.

Eleven other drivers also nominated for the award were: Bill Baugh, Wichita KS; Cecil Ellis, Corpus Christi TX; Anthony Fleming, Wichita Falls TX; Jack Gee, Amarillo TX; Ramon Gomez, El Paso TX; John Hill, Tulsa OK; Joseph Senior, Abilene TX; Larry Smith, Oklahoma City; Charles Waller, Dallas/Fort Worth TX; David Watts, Wichita; and John H Williams, Abilene.

UPT is a carrier of bulk petroleum and chemical products throughout the central south and southwest United States.
