Jerry Kress, president of Carmenita Leasing, Santa Fe Springs CA, was unanimously chosen by members of the Truck Renting and Leasing Association as its 2004-05 chairman at the group's annual meeting in Phoenix AZ recently.

The TRALA board of directors elected these members as officers:

• First vice-chairman — Mark Siegal, president of Edart NationaLease in Hartford CT

• Second vice-chairman — Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS LP in Oak Brook IL

• Secretary — Steven Lawrence, president of Lawrence NationaLease in Red Wing MN

• Treasurer — Frank E Walter, president of Palmer Leasing Group in Indianapolis IN

• Immediate past chairman — Terry Young, president of Advantage Truck Leasing, Charlotte, NC

These members were elected to TRALA's 2004-2007 board of directors:

• Duane Johnson, general manager of Inland Kenworth in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada

• Tracy Leinbach, chief financial officer of Ryder System Inc in Miami FL

• Gerald Riordan, president of Budget Truck Rental in Denver CO

• Alan Serfas, assistant vice-president of Enterprise Rent-A-Truck in St Louis MO

• Robert Shingle, president of PRIMMS Inc, Oak Brook IL

• Charles Sommer, president of Public Service Truck Renting Inc in Long Island City NY

• Bert Wise, president of Mack Lease of Omaha NE

To fill a vacancy on the 2003-2006 board, TRALA members elected Thomas Brown, president of Brown NationaLease in Des Moines IA.
