Terror alert drops to yellow

With combat in Iraq winding down, the Bush Administration lowered the national terror alert level to “yellow” on Wednesday, April 16. Yellow signifies elevated risk. It’s unclear at this point whether the “Orange-High Risk” alert level helped in preventing any terrorist attacks since being activated in March, according to government officials.
