Synaxis insurance group to target trucking

Insurance broker Synaxis Group has formed a new division to focus on the trucking industry.
“Our goal is to provide our clients with one-stop shopping for their employee benefits, financial services, risk management, and property and casualty needs,” said Edward L Bass, who joined Synaxis Group in January 2003 as vice-president-transportation, and will head the new division called Synaxis Transportation Services.
The division will be based in Naperville IL, a suburb of Chicago, as well as in Nashville TN.
Before his career in insurance, Bass was a senior manager for Roadway Express and Morgan Southern Inc.
