SupplyNet to Use MicroBurst Technology

Aeris.net, a provider of short-packet data messaging technology, has announced an agreement with SupplyNet Communications to enable wireless messaging for SupplyNet's TankLink product suite via Aeris's patented MicroBurst technology. The TankLink line offers communications solutions for inventory and logistics management of liquid- and gas-filled tanks.

MicroBurst technology is the core messaging utility embedded in TankLink "plug and play" units. The units, which can be easily attached to fixed or mobile tanks, are equipped with level sensors that allow distributors to remotely monitor the storage conditions and content levels of tank, providing instant notification of tanks that need to be refilled or emptied. The units can also provide logistical information for mobile tanks to allow distributors to monitor and efficiently route their inventory throughout the United States.

MicroBurst service transports the data gathered by the units to TankLink's central hub. TankLink then routes the message to the end-user via the Internet. Because MicroBurst service operates over the control channels of the cellular network, it enables low-cost, instant connectivity with ubiquitous coverage and seamless transmissions across all networks.
